Your business card can be a very powerful, portable, versatile and affordable marketing tool. If you take a look at a wrapper on a product you will see the basic information there such as name, ingredients and price but you will also notice how carefully the product is ’staged’ to entice you to buy it. The best wrappers are colorful and hold just enough information included to get the point across simply and effectively.

Those cards you carry around with you to pass out to people you meet function in the same way and it often determines what people will remember about you and your business. Your card should entice people to want to do business with you.

If you want to make your business cards stand out and get noticed, you should be sure to ’spiff’ them up a bit by adding some color, catchy graphics and a slogan that sums up what you do. Be sure not to include too much contact information. Not everyone needs your fax, cell phone number or street address so use this extra space to further describe what you do. It is better to encourage email communications and phone calls so that you have a better chance to create a close, working relationship with your clients.
